FAQ

What airport do I fly into and when?

We recommend flying into Amerigo Vespucci Airport (code: FLR) in Florence, Italy, arriving no later than Friday, May 22th, 2020. From the airport, it is a short (15-25 minute) ride to the center of the city and the group hotel.

Departure will be Friday, May 29th, 2020. Check-out time is 11am.

If you wish to arrive earlier that the retreat dates to acclimate and be settled, or remain later to enjoy the fruits of Italy, please contact us directly for additional rates.

What vaccinations do I need?

There are no required vaccinations to travel to Italy, however we recommend you consult with your primary care physician and make the decision for what is best for you.

How many people will be attending the retreat?

Attendance varies, but you can expect between 6 to 20 people as a general average. We purposefully keep the groups small for a truly unique, attentive and personalized experience.

What if I am traveling alone?

We have many travelers who choose to travel on their own. If you are traveling without a friend or partner, but prefer to share your room, we will do our utmost to pair you. If, for some reason, we are not able to pair you with a roommate, a single supplement will be charged.

If you prefer to have your own room (regular or deluxe) a single supplement will apply.

Do I need a visa to travel to Italy?

No, travel to Italy does not require obtaining a visa in advance. You will be granted a travelers visa upon arrival into the European Union. Please keep all proof of your return/departing flight with you.

IMPORTANT: If your passport expires within six (6) months of your arrival date to Italy, please renew your passport before you depart to avoid any issues at immigration. There are no exceptions.

Are gratuities included?

No, gratuities are not included. We recommend tipping hotel staff $5-15/day, along with bellman, waitstaff, concierge, drivers and guides.

CULTURAL TIP: Although tipping at the end of a meal is not always customary in Italy (as the tip is often already included), additional Euro left at the table for exceptional service is always welcome.

Are airport transfers part of my trip?

Airport transfers are NOT included for your arrival and departure, but it is exceptionally easy to exit the airport and find either a private taxi, the TramVia public train to downtown Florence or to take the Bus.

Should you desire to have a private car pickup from Amerigo Vespucci Airport, an additional $125.00 USD per car will be added to your final balance.

If you prefer for Amanda + Danielle to come to the airport, an additional $100.00 USD will be added to your final balance and you will be whisked back to Firenze Number Nine.

Please keep in mind that airport transfers may not be private, as you may be arriving/departing with other members of our group.

Are meals included?

Daily breakfast, an off-site cooking class and 2 off-site Tuscan style dinners are included in your program price. Lunches, dinners and alcoholic beverages are not included, and will be at your leisure.

Do I need travel insurance?

Yes, we require that travel insurance be purchased, as the $500.00 USD deposit is non-refundable, and unforeseen circumstances can occur that can prevent your trip such as illness, weather-related occurrences or pre-existing health conditions. Travelex and World Nomads are two reputable travel insurance companies and you can discuss concerns/questions directly with the insurance provider.

What is the cancellation policy?

All retreats have a non-refundable / non-transferable $500.00 USD deposit which is required to hold you space on your retreat.

If you cancel before August 15th, 2019 and your "Final Balance" has been paid, you will be refunded your total payment, minus the $500.00 USD non-refundable deposit.

All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable on and after August 15th, 2019.

All "Final Balance" payments are due before October 15th, 2019 to qualify for the early bird pricing. This cancellation policy is strictly adhered to with no exceptions to offset the substantial cost of the yoga retreat prior to commencement.
